Director of Member Services Julie Evans leads Concord-based club’s commitment to giving back

Concord, MA — Rally4Racquets is proud to welcome The Thoreau Club as an official partner in its growing effort to make tennis more accessible to youth in underserved communities. With the support of Julie Evans, Director of Member Services, the Thoreau Club has joined the initiative by hosting a racquet donation bin on site, allowing members to contribute gently used racquets to a cause that is transforming lives across New England.

The Thoreau Club, known for its elite tennis programming and family-focused culture, is now helping equip the next generation of players by ensuring that quality equipment reaches children who otherwise would not have the opportunity to play. Donated racquets are cleaned, restrung, and delivered to after-school programs, youth organizations, and community centers that promote both athletic and personal development.

“Our members truly believe in the power of tennis to inspire and uplift,” said Julie Evans, Director of Member Services at The Thoreau Club. “We’re thrilled to partner with Rally4Racquets and be part of something that’s bigger than the sport—it’s about creating access, opportunity, and equity for kids who deserve a chance.”

To date, Rally4Racquets has redistributed over 2,000 racquets through 80+ club partnerships, impacting more than 10,000 youth throughout New England. The initiative continues to grow with the support of dedicated leaders like Julie Evans and community-minded clubs like The Thoreau Club, whose values align with Rally4Racquets’ mission of service through sport.

With over 2,900 donors and a youth-led team driving its momentum, Rally4Racquets continues to bring tennis to life for kids across the region—one racquet at a time.
